In 2007, he made his first missionary journey to Venezuela because of which the direction of his life would be changed forever.
Pastor Hood has traveled much of the United States and Latin America preaching the Gospel including serving as a Missionary in Mexico and Belize. He is also a musician, author and historian with special interest in both Biblical and early American history. He is a graduate of King’s Way Language and Missions Training Center with concentrations in Spanish language and Missiology. He completed his Bachelor of Theology from Biblical Apostolic University in 2020 and, in 2022 was awarded an M.A. in Christian Education and, in 2023, the Doctorate of Theology. He also serves as the President of the International Apostolic Institute (formerly Biblical Apostolic University). He holds these roles along with his full-time employment as the Marketing Manager for My Father's World, a multi-national school curriculum company.
He and his wife Elaine, whom he married on June 20, 2015, live in Rolla, Missouri.
Elaine Light Hood was born in Rolla, Missouri in 1983. The daughter of a home missionary, Sister Hood has spent her life involved in almost every aspect of ministry from the ground up. As she has often said, “The only things I’ve never done in church are to preach and be the Church Secretary.” Baptized at the age of 8, Sister Hood went on to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at age 11 and almost immediately became a Sunday School Teacher.
A graduate of the University of Missouri – Rolla, she obtained her B.A. in History and Missouri State Teaching Certification. She worked for a period as a public school teacher leaving that position to return to UMR as a marketing specialist and international recruiter. Her travels in Asia and Europe heavily impacted her life and burden for the work of the Kingdom.
Along with being a housewife, Sister Hood is also an ASL interpreter and musician. She also holds a Local License with the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ as a Christian Worker. Along with this, she works as an executive assistant in the product testing industry.
